Stay Connected with Virtual Support Group Meetings

Life comes with unique challenges for individuals who have limb loss or limb difference and their families, but finding support from those who share similar lived experiences can make a world of difference. Support groups provide a welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. Whether meeting in person or virtually, they offer a chance to talk openly, gain helpful tips, build confidence, and strengthen a sense of community.

To help keep our community engaged and supported, the Amputee Coalition’s Peer Support Team, along with Support Group Leaders from our National Support Group Network, hosts monthly virtual support group meetings on Zoom. These meetings are open to individuals who have limb loss or limb difference, as well as family members supporting loved ones on their journey. In addition to our general support group meetings, we also offer a dedicated youth support group to create a space for young people to connect, share their experiences, and find encouragement from peers.

We invite you to join us for a virtual support group meeting at a time that works for you—whether it’s in your time zone or whenever your schedule allows. Check out the recurring meeting schedule below and connect with a community that understands and supports you. We look forward to seeing you!

Caregiver Support Group

Care partners and caregivers play an essential role every day, no matter what stage their loved one is in. When someone experiences limb loss or limb difference, the impact extends beyond the individual—it can bring new challenges, evolving roles, and shifting family dynamics.

If you’re a non-professional caregiver—whether a spouse, partner, family member, or friend—we invite you to join our virtual Caregiver Support Group Meetings. This group is a space to connect with others who understand, share experiences, and find encouragement in a supportive community.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6 PM Central via Zoom. We hope you’ll join us!

Young Adult Support Group

Are you—or do you know—a young adult between the ages of 18 and 30 who has experienced limb loss or limb difference? If so, we invite you to connect with a supportive community of peers who understand your journey.

This group is a space to meet others in your stage of life, share experiences, navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and access valuable resources—all in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Join us for our Virtual Young Adult Support Group, held on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 7:00–8:00 PM ET via Zoom. We’d love to see you there!
