Body Image and awareness after Injury

Study Location:

Online

Research Objectives:

This study aims to explore changes in body image and body awareness after injury/surgery, and to understand how these changes may affect wellbeing, confidence, and participation in everyday life, to inform future rehabilitation approaches.

Eligibility Criteria:

-Adults aged 18 years or older

-History of limb amputation (upper or lower limb) following injury and/or surgery

-Amputation occurred at least 4 weeks prior to participation

-Living with ongoing physical changes or impairment related to amputation

-Able to read and respond to survey questions in English

Compensation Details:

Participants will not receive any payment or compensation for taking part in this study. Participation is voluntary.

Time Commitment:

This study involves a single online survey completed at a time convenient to the participant. There are no in-person visits required. The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.

Participants may optionally indicate interest in a follow-up discussion, which would be scheduled separately.

How to Participate:

Participants can enroll by accessing the online survey via the link or QR code provided on the recruitment poster. The survey can be completed on a computer, tablet, or smartphone at a time convenient to the participant. No prior registration or contact with the research team is required.
