Bionic and robotic prostheses: identifying bioethical concerns from key groups to improve development and clinical translation approaches

Research Objectives:
To share bioethical concerns identified by people with limb loss and limb difference, clinicians, and policy makers to improve approaches in the development and translation of bionic and robotic prostheses.
Eligibility Criteria:
18 years of age or older, ability to provide written informed consent in English, have lived in the United States for the majority of their time (over 50%) in the role (person with limb loss or difference, clinician, policy maker) they select, people with limb loss or difference have an upper or lower limb loss or difference (regardless of prosthesis use, time with limb loss or difference, level of limb loss or difference, or etiology), clinicians have provided care to people with limb loss or difference in the past 12 months (via their professional role as a clinician), and policy makers have been involved in state or federal policy that relates to limb loss or difference in the past 12 months (via their professional role as a policy maker)
