Does the Amputee Coalition provide financial assistance for prosthetic limbs?

While we don’t provide direct financial assistance, we can connect you with organizations that do. Our team can help you find funding resources, understand insurance coverage, and point you toward financial aid programs designed for people living with limb loss or limb difference.

Where can I find support?

You’re not alone in this journey. Our Certified Peer Visitor (CPV) Program connects you with trained volunteers who have lived experience with limb loss. You can also join local or virtual support groups, attend our events, or connect with others through our online community. Reach out to us, and we’ll help you find the support that works best for you.

How can I find local resources?

Our Limb Loss Resource Center offers a variety of tools to help you find local support groups, rehabilitation centers, prosthetists, and other valuable services in your area. Just give us a call or visit our website to explore resources tailored to your location.

Can I donate used prosthetics or single shoes?

Yes! While we don’t accept donations directly, we work with organizations that do. Many groups repurpose gently used prosthetic limbs and single shoes for people in need, especially in underserved communities around the world.
