The Amputee Coalition of America has been given the opportunity to participate in a research study in association with the American Association of Health and Disability, and the Center for Development and Disability. The “I Can Do It! You Can Do It!” study focuses on nutrition and physical activity. We are looking for 45 individuals between the ages of 12 and 22 to participate. The study will pair youth with adult mentors who have similar disabilities. ACA will continue to ensure that your personal information remain confidential even if you decide to participate. Additionally, the adult mentors are screened with a background check to protect the participant. You will receive incentives for your participation! For more information take a look at the recruitment flyer.

Please contact Derrick Stowell, the Youth Activity Program Coordinator, at yapinfo@amputee-coalition.org before January 20th 2007 if you are interested in participating. Please note that if you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent contact the ACA on your behalf before you will be able to participate.
