Sean Brame took his story to Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, spending the day meeting with federal officials about the importance of good artificial limb care. Sean, of Newberry Twp., lost parts of both legs, his right hand and part of his left hand to a bacterial infection in 2005. Sean and his dad, Michael, met with Sen. Arlen Specter(R-Pa), Rep. Todd Platts (R-York), and Sen. Tom Harken (D-Iowa), as part of the Amputee Coalition of America's support of the Prosthetic and Customized Orthotic Parity Act. The bill would standardize prosthetic care across all insurance companies that offer the benefit, said Carol Brame, Sean's mother. #
