MEMORIAL DAY CONGRESSIONAL RECESS

On May 24th, members of Congress will head home for the Memorial Recess.  House members are back in their district from May 24th to June 2nd.  This is the perfect opportunity for you to reach out to your representative and urge them to support the federal prosthetic parity bill.

The bill was authored by Representative Robert Andrews (D-NJ).  Current co-sponsors include Representatives George Miller (D-CA), Todd Platts (R-PA), Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Maxine Waters (D-CA), Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), Bruce Braley (D-IA), Andre Carson (D-IN), Peter T. King (R-NY), Bob Filner (D-CA), Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) have all agreed to co-sponsor the Prosthetic Parity Act of 2008.

In the past few weeks we have doubled the number of co-sponsors.  We need your help to reach out to your representative and urge him/her to sign on as a co-sponsor!

  • To find out who your representative is click here.

  • This site requires you to fill in your zip code +4.  If you do not know what your 4 digit zip extension is, click here.

  • You can find a sample call script, sample letter and sample e-mail on our "Take Action" page.  Check it out here.

During the Congressional Memorial Day Recess, we have an excellent opportunity to advance the parity bill!  Please, take a few minutes to call or e-mail their district office over the Memorial holiday!
