Make plans now to join Disabled Sports USA for their signature winter event, The Hartford Ski Spectacular, on December 4-11, 2005, in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Kids, teens, and adults of all ages are invited to enjoy snow sports made accessible by adaptive equipment and lessons from seasoned professionals and skilled volunteers. There’s a family focus as kids and parents learn what fun can be found on the slopes, regardless of the nature or level of a disability.
Events in the Spectacular include:
- Beginners programs in Learn to Ski, Learn to Snowboard, and Nordic Skiing
- Race camps for snowboard enthusiasts as well as youth and mid-level skiers
- Elite/USSA Level II races in slalom and giant slalom
- The Corporate Challenge Race, an exciting blend of disabled and able-bodied skiers, with thrills for all
In addition, continuing education credits are available for professional instructors taking classes through the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) Adaptive Academy.
