Physically challenged kids up to 18 years of age are invited to attend the Accenture Physically Challenged Kids’ Clinic, hosted by the Challenged Athletes Foundation on Friday, August 26, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Foster Avenue Beach in Chicago, IL.

Meet USA Triathlon Paralympics Development Team members Amy Dodson and Dennis Houghton, Paralympics swimming Gold Medalist Rudy Garcia-Tolson and wheelchair triathlete Mario Solis, who will compete in the upcoming Ironman Hawaii Triathlon.

ACA’s publication Expectations: Parenting Children and Teens with Limb Differences will be distributed to all who attend the free clinic.

The objective of this event is to teach that participation in athletics can be an important part of a healthful, full lifestyle. This event will also provide a nonthreatening environment in which kids can ask questions, participate in disabled sports, and learn from the best.

Note: Meet at least an hour beforehand at the McDonald's Kids Triathlon Finish Line Area located in the lakefront park between Foster and Montrose Avenues (exits are off of Lake Shore Drive).

There is no parking at Foster Avenue Beach. Free parking is available at Wilson Avenue east of Lake Shore Drive. For parking, exit Lake Shore Drive (LSD) at Wilson Avenue (4600 N) or Montrose Avenue (4400 N) and go east to the parking lot. Walk east to Simonds Drive and proceed north to the race site. If you plan to drop someone off at the race site, exit LSD at Foster Avenue (5200 N) and go east.
