BlazeSports America to Hold Summer Camp for Youth with Physical Disabilities

Atlanta, GA- BlazeSports America will hold an interactive sports and recreation summer camp June 24-29 for youth aged 8-18 with a physical disability at the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation, Warm Springs, GA.

Jam-packed with fun, friends and excitement, BlazeCamp is a five-day, four-night residential summer camp that provides opportunities for youth with physical disability to develop their skills in a variety of exciting sports including track and field, wheelchair basketball, goalball, tennis, tandem cycling, and more.  Additionally, participants will enjoy traditional camp activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, social activities and canoeing.

BlazeCamp emphasizes active and healthy lifestyles, FUNdamental sports skills, and personal development by providing opportunities for campers to try new things, build skills, make friends and become more independent. Campers are taught and supervised by well qualified staff and volunteers including certified therapeutic recreation specialists, disability sports professionals and athletes with disabilities. A 1:5 staff to camper ratio will be maintained at all times.

Camp fees are $325 for BlazeSports Members and $350 for non-members and includes all lodging, meals, sports instruction, and camp activities.

The camp at Roosevelt Warm Springs is situated on a gorgeous 12 acre lake with facilities including two fully accessible lodges, dining hall, indoor and outdoor pools, gymnasium, track, paved wooded nature trails and a beautiful stone pavilion.
