ACA Announces New Publication for Parents
The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) is proud to announce the release of Expectations: Parenting Children and Teens With Limb Differences. This 36-page resource guide addresses some of the issues parents face after giving birth to a baby with a limb difference or after their child has lost a limb due to trauma or a disease like cancer or diabetes.

Knoxville, TN -- The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) is proud to announce the release of Expectations: Parenting Children and Teens With Limb Differences. This 36-page resource guide addresses some of the issues parents face after giving birth to a baby with a limb difference or after their child has lost a limb due to trauma or a disease like cancer or diabetes.

The ACA prepared this guide so parents will have the information they need whether they are facing this situation for the first time or have lived with it for a while. The publication includes:

  • Questions to ask your child’s doctor
  • Information on ACA’s Parent Support Network
  • Tips for improving your child’s body image
  • Technology information
  • Tips on advocating for your child
  • Resources and helpful links.
